Officiant Bethel Nathan says "Just because there were no guests to hear what we created together – other than their adorable four-legged loved ones – doesn’t mean that the ceremony shouldn’t be special and about the couple! Honestly, I think it’s even more important to have a ceremony that moves them when it is really the only part of their celebration. So, as we celebrated what Bari and Rob share and what their 9+ year commitment deserves, we included some fun components in the ceremony – and you see the results of them with the laughter and expressive faces in these images! They chose to do their vows as a conversation with each other, alternating lines. They included a salt covenant, which nodded to times past when agreements and promises were often sealed by each person taking a pinch of salt to be combined into one bottle, as this symbolic gesture not only creates an unbreakable bond, but also represents the very nature of salt itself, fitting for important relationships. And this ritual was especially fitting for Bari and Rob as they love cooking and being in the kitchen together, and will use these combined salts in future culinary creations together. They chose to break the glass together, as equals and as partners. What a joy-filled celebration it became!" Thanks for the love and the joy evident in your faces and best wished Bari and Rob!
