We never thought we'd be saying this; but, step aside wedding cake. There's a new wedding dessert in town, and we've got the cutest couple to show us. Craig and Michelle Hothem met while working together in La Jolla. The couple has since prove themselves as loyal San Diego lovers, as they got married at one of our fave bayside wedding venues; Humphrey's by the Bay. Craig said that they picked this location because of the beautiful grounds for the ceremony and reception. Speaking of reception, the two had a couple unique add-ins to theirs. Instead of your traditional guest book, the Hothems asked their guests to sign pieces of beautiful sea glass. They also voted "no" to the traditional wedding cake and decided to go with another local favorite. In lieu of cake, they chose to have a Baked Bear Ice Cream Bar. It doesn't get much better than love, friends and family, a killer view and, of course, an ice cream cookie sandwich on a warm Summer San Diego night.
