Lavender Blue dilly dilly, a charming outdoor wedding at Quail Haven Farm
Bride: Dana Gray Groom: Erik Battaglia
An olde English song from the late 17th century goes:
"Lavender's blue, dilly, dilly, lavender's green, When I am king, dilly, dilly, You shall be queen. Who told you so, dilly, dilly, who told you so? 'Twas my own heart, dilly, dilly, that told me so."
With satchels of Lavender offering their scent in the air, the soft nickering of horses coming from the property's barn, and fields of trees and flowers kissing the sky, The Battaglia's wedding unfolded on a warm October day, with moody skies and turned into a love-filled celebration of lavender and gold worthy of a modern day king and queen.
From the sweet touches of DIY postcards and a gold mailbox waiting to hold the best wishes and dreams of their friends and family, hand painted pendants hanging from the the arbor, to the song, "Home is Wherever you Are" by Edward Sharpe playing on the way to the reception, to the stunning gold details on the plates, cutlery, and decor and lovely chandeliers casting a soft glow that lent a quiet elegance to the day, Erik and Dana's wedding at Quail Haven Farm in the horse country of Bonsall was a heart warming delight!
