Selecting Your Location

Use our convenient Location Guide to find sites by style or by region, by cultural influences or take a look at what we feel are San Diego's TOP 25 wedding venues.

Choosing the place where you will wed is your first and biggest design choice. The setting you select together should embody your personalities and style. Once you have settled on the perfect location, work with your setting not against it to avoid an event that feels cut and pasted or put of place. Celebrate the unique qualities of the place you have chosen as your site with details and décor that highlight the space. But do not go overboard, you want your event to feel rich and subtle not overwhelming like a theme party. Our rule of thumb is usually never skimp on the setting, it really is the foundation for your entire event and some locations require very little in the way of décor saving you energy and money. Parks, gardens, beaches and private homes offer a beautiful alternative to country clubs and hotels if you are looking for moderately priced facilities. Keep in mind that you will then need to add in the cost of rental canopies, tables, linens, chairs, etc. Hotels and resorts offer you every little thing you could wish for, and are especially enjoyable for busy, double-career couples or weddings where a large percentage of your guests are traveling from afar. That way everyone gets a wedding and a much-needed vacation!

A word to the wise; San Diego is a very popular wedding destination; hosting over 25,000 weddings a year! Most of which occur between April and October, that is around 7000 weddings a weekend in peak season! Grab the site you want first. Be open to dates so that you have some flexibility. If all of your guests are going to fly in and make your wedding the beginning of a mini vacation, why be set on Saturday- which books out years in advance, long before Sunday, Friday evening or any other day, is also the busiest work day for wedding vendors and the most expensive time slot to contract.

We chose the TOP 25 for their style, their attitude, and for their overall ambiance and professionalism. We think you will be most satisfied working with them. The TOP 25 are all very different in style; each venue has its own unique character, but they all treat your event as the most special event they've ever hosted.
