The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is a family-owned private membership club that includes 90 hotel rooms and suites. During their stay, hotel guests enjoy membership privileges, including the ability to host events in the hotel's 2 banquet rooms and on our private beach (restrictions may apply).
Our full service catering staff is under the culinary direction of Executive Chef Bernard Guillas. We offer simple elegance, creative menu ideas, unconventional banquet facilities, and simple style.
The ocean front Walnut Lounge has an impressive view of the Pacific. The warm, welcoming ambience of the room is completed by the beautiful fireplace. This is the perfect room for you and your guests to enjoy a gorgeous sunset during your event. The Walnut Lounge can seat up to 70 guests.
The charming La Sala room greets you with a unique South of the Border mural encompassing all walls, encouraging your guests to join in on the festivities. La Sala can seat up to 150 guests. Dance Floor available upon request for either room.
Our poolside patio, located at the heart of the club, is a wonderful setting for your outdoor affair. For banquets the Patio can accommodate up to 150+ guests.
For a ceremony, reception, or BBQ, our 10,000 square foot private beach is the perfect setting for any event.
The Lush gardens drape around our club pond. This area can accommodate everything from a bridal shower on the lawn to an elaborate wedding reception under the stars.
Our signature restaurant, The Marine Room, is a destination unto itself. With windows wrapping around 2 sides of the room and affording one of the most scenic restaurant experiences in Southern California.

In 2004 chef Bernard was named "Chef of the Year" by Chef Magazine. The recipient of this award was chosen by a panel of his peers.
All properties can customize menus, arrange entertainment, order floral arrangements and turn our spaces into just about anything your imagination can dream up. Couples must have an appointment to view the property and must have a sponsor to have a party at the Beach Club (or be a current member)
