One word to describe Lily and James's wedding is unconventional. And we are obsessed. Full of color and unique decor, this couple knows how to throw a party. We are sure that this will be a wedding their guests will never forget. Why, you ask? The ceremony began with the ceremonial blowing of a conch by the bride's brother, and officiant. Already off to a good start, the bride and groom spruced up the bride's dress with purple LED lights, added capes to the bridesmaids dresses, and made shields and spears for the entire bridal party! The attire wasn't the only DIY project on hand, Lily and James also made their flowers-- made from books and peacock feathers-- the center pieces, the wedding arch, and the troll cake topper! Just amazing!!

High school sweethearts, Victoria and Jacob have been together for over a decade of love, laughs and style. They started as high school sweethearts and have been best friends for more than half of their lives. Torrie [as she is known] and Jacob have a very tight knit group of friends and many family members that have been together for decades. Torrie's niece was the charming flower girl who stole everyone's heart when she walked down the aisle! This elegant and romantic wedding was a stunner and the bride looked straight out of a vintage Hollywood movie right in San Diego's beautiful, tree filled North County area! And it looks to us like a very good time was had by all!
This week's Wedding Crush Wednesday features Alex and Ljubov Ovtsinnikovas from Russia/Estonia! These two said their vows in Centennial Park on Coronado with some of the best views of San Diego! While we already think these two are gorgeous, we love their winter ensembles too. With the coastal breeze and cool San Diego nights a night on the waterfronts can get a little chilly. Ljubov's cropped jacket, and bright red bouquet combined with Alex's stunning royal blue suit [very European!] makes the couple pop from their backgrounds. The Ovtsinnikovas' statement pieces are show-stoppingly perfect and showcase their style, their attitude and their love. Südamlikud õnnesoovid pulmapäevaks! (Congratulations from the heart on your wedding)!

Jasmine & Daniel's compatibility was undeniable from the beginning. They met online and after their first date they both told their best friends that they'd found 'the one'! The colorful nature of San Diego's Spanish Village at Balboa Park complimented this wedding couple and their guests so well. Their bright personalities shined through and since the Groom is a brew master at a local San Diego brewery everyone enjoyed the 'pour it yourself' beer taps and a wine station. Daniel's best friend Ben became ordained and performed the ceremony and his personal experiences with the couple made this bright and happy day of love all the more special.

Happy sunflowers on a sunny day and beautiful farmland as far as the eye can see ... nothing says 'rustic San Diego wedding' like a ranch in East County’s charming town of Alpine. Colibri Ranch, a rich farmland property just east of San Diego, boasts so many unique props and focal points: old rusty tractors, water towers, carts, flower boxes - the locations were endless and created a beautiful, earthy and rustic wedding celebration of love!
A quarter of a century of love and togetherness is such an incredible accomplishment to celebrate and for Pete and Scott it became even more. These grooms were legally married just days before this wedding reception and 25th anniversary together! They decided to have the reception at their most meaningful place of all, their home... in San Diego, CA. A little bit of rain didn't keep these two away from an incredible evening with all of their closest friends and family.
A little over a year ago Scott and Peter had just returned from Scott’s companies annual meeting of its partners. It was his first year as a partner and he had to do a life story in five minutes to all of the attendees as part of a tradition. Part of the presentation was talking about Pete and their life.
When they returned home tired, Pete said let’s go watch the sunset. “I said I was tired but he convinced me to go anyway,” says Scott. They got to the bluff overlooking Blacks Beach and Peter suddenly got down on one knee and asked Scott to marry him. “Of course I said yes.”
The two enjoyed families and friends being together to celebrate their new bond as well as their 25 year history together.
Crystal and Mario are the quintessential high school sweethearts. They have been together for 15 years having both attended Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, California where the pair fell in love and started the journey of a lifetime as mere teenagers. Until the day came when Mario realized that he couldn't spend another day not married to his best friend and decided to propose at sunset at one of their favorite beaches in San Diego, of course!
Their family and friends were ecstatic to celebrate their wedding day. Even their beloved dog, Scooter, was a groomsman (and you know how we feel about dogs!) Check out this lovely featured wedding with Crystal's chosen palette of plums, blues and lavender tones and a seriously adorable flower girl and ring bearer and yes.... they had us at 'dog groomsman'.
This wedding was nothing short of the extravagant celebration the patient duo deserved. Crystal and Mario rang in their new life together at the gorgeous Coronado Community Center and what a celebration it was!

Upgrade your wedding experience and treat your guests to an impressive evening with a few fun (and simple) touches. What bride doesn’t want her guests raving about her wedding!?
1. ENJOY THE VIEW: Possibly one of the easiest boxes to check for a San Diego bride - a space with a view! Select a venue where guests will be dying to Insta their panoramic surrounding! Whether it’s the mountains, the harbor or a rustic farm in East County - a gorgeous view isn’t hard to find in America’s Finest City! Check out our Venue directory for many of the top local venues.
2. TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF - STAY AWHILE: Think ahead and supply a basket or designated place for your guests to kick off their shoes and enjoy the party. Those guests that tear up the dancefloor all night will appreciate this invitation.
3. FIND A SEAT: Upgrade those paper escort cards and place cards that get lost or tossed for a beautiful seating chart. Have it large enough for the crowd to gather around and find their name. This is the most organized and simple way of instructing your guest where to sit. Plus there are so many creative ways to tie a seating chart into your theme, and your planner will appreciate being spared the alphabetizing required for escort cards.
4. EXTRA SIGNAGE: Spare your guests from getting lost! Provide extra signage to point everyone in the right direction. This is a great way to spread some theme, decor and personal touch throughout your venue.
5. GET COMFY: Create a posh space for your guests to relax during dance breaks. Rent lounge furniture complete with comfy chairs, sofas and pillows that guests can snuggle into. This is a perfect way to integrate a relaxation space into your party - with perfectly coordinated textiles.
