We just love this image of a rainy day bride looking so beautiful and serene despite the weather! Studio 2053 Floral and Event Design created the fabulous masterpiece of roses, lemon leaves and lambs ear that adds the right amount of drama for the romantic blush gown by Stella York and a day in the soft rain at Lake Oak Meadows. Also on point is the model’s feminine hair by Wonder Pin Studio and makeup by Chelsea Rose, and last but certainly not least- the lovely portrait styled by Katie Hammond and shot by photographer Courtney Lynn! Who minds the Spring rain if this much beauty comes from it!
This elegant rustic-chic themed styled shoot utilizes a neutral color palette with a bespoke dress from top So Cal bridal gown designer Madeleine Fig. The opulent villa with details like handmade furnishings, stonework, rich wood furnishings and pool, complete with private helicopter naturally, is nestled in the heart of Southern California's incredible wine country. This is sure to inspire couples planning their own intimate destination wine country wedding!
The small-wedding / elopement trend with several unique elements served as the inspiration behind this shoot. The venue boasts amazing views of the wine country and also has a dedicated helicopter pad on site to offer guests private tours! The muted hues of bronze, gold, silver, copper, combined with plenty of greenery reflect the outdoor Southern California vibe and blend flawlessly into the rugged landscape extending into the distance. Overall, the scene conveys a simple purity that relaxes the senses. The handmade furniture such as the palette bar, the desert table with back drop, and the mismatched table settings lend a custom DIY element to the theme. The beauty of the scenes, the models, the make-up, the hair, and the dresses were expertly captured and edited by a talented photographer from Monterey. The videographer from Los Angeles worked alongside providing both drone and handheld coverage that documented the full process.
This was a truly collaborative effort that brought talented vendors from across California. It turned out to be much bigger than originally intended and consisted of a full crew included: photographer, videographer with drone, models, couture bridal designer, makeup and hair, florist, catering, calligraphy, accessories, rentals, and graphic design. Behind the scenes, the chemistry between the models and the crew added to the energetic and fun vibe on set!

White gets such support from a little bit of green in this classic bouquet - but don’t forget your family with matching corsages, boutonnieres, and of course, flower doggy collar! Photo by Anika London
Gorgeous pale gold cabbage roses, pale blush tea roses, and classic English roses combine to make a beautiful classic romantic bouquet. Photo by Resolusean.
Contrasting colors add drama; like these deep burgundy mums with creamy roses and natural greenery. Photo by Caylin Jeanea.
White on white on white is a bold move, yet going monochromatic for the Bride makes for timeless photos.
Don’t forget to embellish the stems of your bouquet with meaningful pieces like a brooch or pin from your grandmother. As a bride you’ll be connecting with these as you walk down the aisle.
Boho is still going strong as a wedding style and is evolving into a more feminine feel like this lovely pink and purple horizontal bouquet by San Diego’s Studio 2053 Floral and Event Design!

April is in full swing and so are those showers [well what passes for showers in San Diego!]. What May flowers are we excited to see this season, you ask? We cannot wait to see peonies galore! The peony is such a perfect option for a multitude of reasons. For one, it's so easy to work them into your budget. Whether you have a large budget to have strictly peony arrangements at every table or you have a smaller budget and just want to add accent peonies throughout your bouquets, this flower is a solid choice. Another reason to love the peony is they look great with anything you put them with. A bouquet of similarly colored roses, hydrangeas, etc is a romantic and elegant option. However, more and more couples are using greenery in their decor, and peonies are a great complement to give your wedding that modern and rustic feel. You'll see what we mean in this Southern styled wedding.
We just love seeing what gorgeous wedding floral creations the talented Anna Nguyen of Classic Bloom Design: Floral Design comes up with and this breathtaking jewel toned bridal bouquet is a perfect example of Anna's talent.
This beautiful styled shoot called "Fig & Fawn" was inspired by Autumn's deep, rich colors and the warmth and glow of candlelight. What could be more romantic?! We love the richness of deep plum, combined with the softness of rustic grey, contrasted with the metallic copper.
Bringing mixed metals and unique materials together created an amazing dimension of effects through pattern, color and texture. From the vintage furniture to the tablescapes, the couture wedding dress to the vibrant jewelry, nothing speaks more to rustic elegance than this eclectic mix. The tables were designed with vintage black china, gold silverware and handpicked goblets along with deep plum napkins and hand calligraphy wooden place cards. Adding incredible depth were the florals of amnesia and lavender roses, thistle, Queen Anne's lace, silver dollar eucalyptus and copper painted succulents draping down from above and across the table. The table was finished with gorgeous high-backed vintage chairs and the glow from numerous tiered brass candle sticks. Romantic and charming, we hope that this inspires all couples who are currently planning a vintage fall wedding! Please click any image to see the whole styled shoot feature...enjoy!
