We believe that true love is the ultimate freedom because when you are fully loved you can be free to be you. We called this the “You Belong with the Wild Flowers Bridal Fashion and Beauty Styled Shoot” for a good reason. Thanks Tom Petty for reminding us to always pursue passion and freedom in all things. [Disclaimer: No poppies were harmed during this photo shoot, the entire shoot team stayed on the trails and Photographer Melissa Fe has some mad Photoshop skills!]
Photographer Melissa Fe says “This year Mother Nature graced us with her presence by bringing the super bloom back to Lake Elsinore. It has been said that the super bloom attracted Disneyland-sized crowds to this poppy bloom spectacular. With valleys filled with beautiful poppy fields this was too good to pass up for a Springtime Bridal Session.
The Bride wore the Izzy gown designed by Minnesota Bridal Gown Designer, Bopha Sar Thomas. This flowy 3-tiered skirt showcased a silk and lace lining and was accompanied by a hand sewn lace top with exquisite lace detail and peep-a-boo back to show off those sexy curves. This flirty 2 piece gown is perfect for a youthful, daring Bride who isn’t afraid to show off some skin.
For the Bride’s Hair and Make up, I teamed up with the talented Juanita Lopez of @Brides_Grooms_by_JLo. I have worked with Juanita on multiple styled shoots in the past and is my go-to Hair and Make up artist for my Brides and boudoir clients.
I wanted an Ethereal vibe and look for this Bridal session so Juanita did an editorial bohemian dutch braid with some fly away pieces to frame the Bride’s face. She also used texturizing product to achieve the dreamy vibe we were going for.
Juanita went for a monochromatic, very clean "no makeup, makeup look" for the Bride. This is something that Juanita feels most brides should go for on their wedding day because it enhances their natural beauty. She used a spot concealer to allow the Bride's skin to look very natural yet maintaining a sun kissed glow. From the Bride's eyes to the blush and lip color the color palette applied was a warm light tint of orange colors to accent the pop of color from the poppies.
To bring the look together, Nancy the creative mind behind Nancy Lobo Designs, created a bouquet that was non-traditional using a combination of spring blooms and a dash of orchids. Knowing that the backdrop would be a field of orange poppies, she chose purple tones to play alongside and be as equally
vibrant. For a little romance, she topped off the bouquet with a lace ribbon as an ode to the rolling hills. ”
