This Coronado Wedding is a Sweet Serenade of Love and Spirit Between Two Very Lovely People

A vintage VW bus, a beautiful, heartfelt serenade by the groom, a movie-like exit on a gondola boat ride… just a few highlights from Son and Karli's charming Coronado wedding. The groom wrote a personal song for his bride, and sang it to her,  so you know this was an awesome day overflowing with emotion and spirit! Karli and Son tied the knot overlooking the San Diego skyline and Pacific Ocean at the Coronado Cays Yacht Club, surrounded by family and friends. How these two met is also inspiring. Karli, who grew up in Northern California, became a nurse and full time missionary in Rosarito, Mexico where she met Son who was also working as a missionary. Son was born and raised in Haiti and left to help others here in the states, before being called to Mexico where the two met. These two love birds ended the night by exiting to a shower of bubbles and confetti leading to the doc where a surprise gondola was awaiting them to take them to their hotel.... that's true love and the island of Coronado for you!

Watching a couple laugh and genuinely care for one another the way Karli and Son do is so inspiring. Here’s a look at a few of the moments that made up such an eventful day filled with love and friendship.

Coronado Wedding Celebrates the Marriage of Indonesian and Mexican Cultures with Flair!

This San Diego wedding day was classic and romantic, with a Catholic Church wedding ceremony followed by a family and friend filled reception at he Coronado Community Center. A celebration of two cultures, the bride is Indonesian and the groom's family hails from Mexico. The wedding colors were a confetti like mix of grey, white, green, gold, rose gold and the bride's beautiful dress was handmade in Jakarta, Indonesia by a family friend. The food was catered by Mexico City Cuisine, to honor the groom's Mexican heritage, and oooooh there was a churro station for dessert! This gorgeous couple was nothing but smiles throughout the day and we can't help but smile along.

This Week's Wedding Crush Wednesday Says a Fashion-Forward "I Do"

This week's Wedding Crush Wednesday features Alex and Ljubov Ovtsinnikovas from Russia/Estonia! These two said their vows in Centennial Park on Coronado with some of the best views of San Diego! While we already think these two are gorgeous, we love their winter ensembles too. With the coastal breeze and cool San Diego nights a night on the waterfronts can get a little chilly.  Ljubov's cropped jacket, and bright red  bouquet combined with Alex's stunning royal blue suit [very European!] makes the couple pop from their backgrounds. The Ovtsinnikovas' statement pieces are show-stoppingly perfect and showcase their style, their attitude and their love. Südamlikud õnnesoovid pulmapäevaks! (Congratulations from the heart on your wedding)!

High School Sweethearts Celebrate Their Forever at a Coronado Wedding

Crystal and Mario are the quintessential high school sweethearts. They have been together for 15 years having both attended Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, California where the pair fell in love and started the journey of a lifetime as mere teenagers. Until the day came when Mario realized that he couldn't spend another day not married to his best friend and decided to propose at sunset at one of their favorite beaches in San Diego, of course!

Their family and friends were ecstatic to celebrate their wedding day. Even their beloved dog, Scooter, was a groomsman (and you know how we feel about dogs!) Check out this lovely featured wedding with Crystal's chosen palette of plums, blues and lavender tones and a seriously adorable flower girl and ring bearer and yes.... they had us at 'dog groomsman'.

This wedding was nothing short of the extravagant celebration the patient duo deserved. Crystal and Mario rang in their new life together at the gorgeous Coronado Community Center and what a celebration it was!

An intimate destination wedding shines as bright as the Coronado Beach sun

We just love this charming, love-filled, 'micro destination' wedding on Coronado Beach. Photographer Brit Jaye really captured the family's love and connection and made us wish we had been a guest with our toes in the sand, looking out to the sun kissed waters, our eyes filled with tears of joy, at this intimate celebration of love pulled together by family right on the beautiful beaches of Coronado.

Anna & Hadley tied the knot at their beautiful San Diego beach wedding on Saturday afternoon. The tide was low, perfect for some romantic portraits of the bride & groom by the ocean shore before the ceremony. Coronado Beach is an absolutely perfect wedding ceremony location. These two lovebirds planned their destination wedding in San Diego from Utah, and they really picked a gorgeous place to say ‘I do’! Friends and family made the trip from Utah to help co create the wedding [flowers and all!] and to be with the couple when they said ‘I do’ at their intimate beach wedding ceremony. Anna wore a beautiful vintage inspired wedding dress that was custom made for the occasion. Her flower crown made by her mother and seahorse earrings were the perfect details to finish her look.  Anna was escorted to her groom by her son (age 3). Her father, a clergyman, performed the loving seaside ceremony.
