This North County Outdoor White Wedding is a Study in Classic Wedding Style

This gorgeous North County San Diego outdoor wedding, shot by local wedding photographer and artist Maryanne McGuire, is a study in classic wedding style wedding! The green and elegant Twin Oaks Wedding Estate is the perfect venue to bring this bride's vision all together in style.

Says the bride" I had always dreamed of getting married outside in a forest-like setting.  In looking for venues, we wanted a forest-like/ garden-like feel that was close to our California family and easily accessible to our out-of-state family.  Twin Oaks was the perfect combination of greenery and elegance.  The old school house was also perfect for us, as we started our careers teaching across the hall from one another.  We could not have asked for more a perfect venue.  Everyone was extremely helpful and kind. It was the perfect day!" Our favorite touch? The best kept secret, awwww-inducing, moment when the Groom brought out the wedding ring from the Bride's great grandmother (her grandmother snuck it to the Groom without her knowing it even existed :)!] Now that's a really classic touch by a true gentleman in love!

Such a Pretty White Wedding Styled Shoot by Couture Events at The Lodge Torrey Pines

Founder and Lead Designer of Couture Events, Krystal Tien says "The Lodge at Torrey Pines is one of our favorite venues in San Diego! We love an intimate wedding full of details and luxuries and this was just that! Renowned photographer Jasmine Star captured every detail so perfectly. A lounge ceremony, white tufted cocktail hour, geometric light fixtures and menus, monogrammed chairs, and chandeliers dripping in vines!" We just love this fresh, young, romantic styling that brigs all the drama but without any heaviness, we call it "glam nouveau!"

Couture Events is a boutique event styling & coordination studio. Similar to a couture gown, each of their Couture Weddings & Events is designed to custom fit their client's unique style and personality. Based in Southern California we serve San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs!

Beautiful Blue and White Wedding Styled Shoot Makes a Perfect Winter Holiday Feature

If you're in love, engaged, and planning your wedding then we know you won't even be thinking about having a 'Blue Christmas' a la Elvis! But if you love blue in weddings as much as we do we think you'll love this elegant and classic wedding styled shoot by our friends in Sacramento!

You know California [especially central and northern areas near Sacramento] were originally brought to life by the gold rush, so we just love the sparkle of the gold foil on this gorgeous wedding cake! The trees and gazebo outside are a romantic's dream and the stark white on white indoor space is beautifully staged white white pieces and just enough blue [blue macarons!] to perfectly punctuate and accent the tableau. We got you Sacramento, we Californians have to stick together!

Beautiful El Cortez Don Room Wedding Celebrates with Love, Adventure and Sparkle

What more could you want from a wedding than love, adventure and sparkle?! This happy and beautiful wedding at the El Cortez Hotel's Don Room in San Diego gives us everything we want and more! We especially love the way the florals [by Studio 2053] work with the bride's amazing sparkly gown to create an adventurous take on classically glamorous wedding style.

Bride Mia tells us "We were mismatched from the get-go or so we thought based on looks/style alone, however, we could not be more alike. We met online and both went into the date thinking that it would go absolutely no where but decided to give it a go because we had nothing to lose. From there, it was adventure after adventure, with the two of us trying to best one another with the next big idea. I (Mia) used to be a nomad, and would hop on a plane to a mysterious destination without any convincing needed. Two months into dating, Curtis mentioned a downhill mountain biking race in Chile that he dreamed of attending, which was a mistake. Before he knew it I (Mia) had purchased tickets and they we jetting off on a trip that would either break or make them. Obviously things turned out just fine and we still share the same taste for adventure spending Christmas in a rundown trailer on the edge of Area 51 scouting for aliens, hopping around some of the most remote islands in the Philippines or in the center of a Luchadore ring wrestling with the locals.

Mia and Curtis' favorite memories of the night are from every stage of the dancing.  Says Mia "for the father-daughter dance we started with an 40's jazz ensemble, then 30 seconds into it we came to a screeching halt and KC and the Sunshine Band's "Shake Your Booty" started and my 74-year-old father went nuts- people were laughing instead of crying which was absolutely our intention. This was my favorite song to sing and dance to as a toddler with my parents so it brought back so many great family memories. And when the official dancing kicked off, the dance floor was packed until the very end. I've never seen that happen before! Usually it takes people time to warm up but that was definitely not the case - not one person was sitting down. My 90-year-old grandmother got out of her wheelchair to get down to Too Short's Blow the Whistle and my mother even got low, low, low... oops, too low."  And Grandpa getting down with the Bride is something you will remember forever. We hope you enjoy looking at this wedding as much as we did!

Mia and Curtis added some fun wedding ideas like custom drinking games to loosen up the crowd including "Drink When…" which listed common things that happen at a wedding such as people tearing up, as well as things unique to the wedding party's personalities. Rather than a guest book, the couple used vintage postcards and asked guests to give their best road trip advice for their upcoming honeymoon which was a road trip through the South. There were major breaks with tradition with the groom's 5-year-old nephew serving as the best man and the bride's 90-year-old grandmother serving as the flower girl. The groom also took the bride's last name.

A Super Cool Rock n Roll Infused Wedding Decor makes for a Totally Cool Warehouse Wedding

A totally cool warehouse, craft beers, tons of style and love...what else do you need for an amazing wedding?! Scott and Stephanie Schaffhausen made our hearts swoon with their rustically charming wedding decor. The creative and unique invitations (which was actually designed by the groom himself) begin this rustic brigade. Original and unique wedding invitations have become a popular wedding trend which give millennials the opportunity to show their creative side, and as we all know, for millennials, creativity is key. The more original the better! Another new trend is the mix-matching of bridesmaids dresses. More and more brides are picking a color family [versions of white and blush for this wedding!] for their besties to choose from, but allowing them to choose their own style. This allows each girl to pick a dress that fits their own, individual budget.  The bare brick walls with wooden accents in this lovely wedding allow couples to do almost anything their hearts desire in designing a special space at their wedding venue. The strung lights with a rose petal-sprinkled aisle lined with an array of succulents that Stephanie chose were breathtaking. From the wooden table numbers to the pom pom tassels at the dessert table, this reception is the Instagram wedding we all crave.

Beautiful, contemporary white Military wedding wows at MoCA La Jolla

There's nothing quite like a modern white wedding and what better place to have one than overlooking the ocean at the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla ?

Meredith and Allen first met in flight school when they were becoming military pilots. Allen was swimming a mile for his survival training and Meredith was counting laps for him. Meredith’s friend Liz totally embarrassed her by telling her friends in Allen’s class that Meredith though he was cute. Luckily, Allen thought Meredith was pretty cute as well and the rest is history.... Allen proposed to Meredith on the beach in Del Mar after dining at the beautiful Jake’s restaurant for dinner. They watched the sunset and when the crowds started to disperse, he thought the time was right and got down on one knee and proposed. Their beautiful white wedding was perfect. They exchanged vows at the All Hallows Catholic Church on top of Soledad mountain which overlooks La Jolla. Guests then met up at the stunning Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla for a unique wedding experience surrounded by contemporary art exhibitions and the beautiful styling of Madmade Designs, with delicious food from local favorite Giuseppe’s Catering.
