With a catalog reminiscent of how we imagine a bride in a Wes Anderson film would appear, Parisian bridal gown designer Donatelle Godart creates clean, yet bold, designs that surprise with their powerful simplicity, sixties era lines, and drama. Tres jolie!
Like Debussy’s tunes, from which Donatelle Godart wedding dresses borrow their names, the 2018 collection is placed under the sign of the avant-garde. A feminine avant-garde without code or barrier, where elegance courts irreverence. Available in the United States in San Francisco and New York City.
With rich, dusty, vintage hues, lots and lots of beautiful handmade laces, and layer upon layer of surprising design elements, Italian bridal gown designer Elizabeth Delogu brings drama and a timeless beauty to her 2019 ‘Early Autumn Dawn’s Dream’ collection of bridal gowns. Ciao bella!
For its Spring-Summer 2019 Bridal collection, Maison GEORGES HOBEIKA highlights the supreme symbol of love – the rose – and brings to the newest generation of brides the Couturier’s deep passion for nature. Inspirer of charity balls and bucolic poetry and celebrated since antiquity by great painters and mythical writers, the ‘Queen of flowers’ develops the ever-changing enigmas of her germination on precious fabrics, with a lightness and grace as a delicate as her petals.
Internationally known for his signature expression of femininity, romance and elegance, haute couture designer Georges Hobeika has captivated the fashion world with his creative style and his consistent crafting of statement pieces admired as works of fashion art.
During his civil engineering studies, Georges Hobeika discovered his innate passion for fashion design when he began sketching dresses to assist his mother who owned an atelier business with a growing clientele. Pursuing his passion, he left to Paris during the height of the Lebanese War and was immersed in the world of fashion via his internship at Chanel. Georges Hobeika returned to Beirut, established his atelier and was ready to debut on the Paris couture runway in 2001. Today, Georges Hobeika enjoys an ever-growing haute couture clientele and has successfully established three ready-to-wear lines – Georges Hobeika Bridal, Georges Hobeika Signature and GH by Georges Hobeika.
Jaime Elyse, known for the global success of her couture bridal collection, has announced the launch of a new red carpet collection. On the heels of a successful awards show season, for which she dressed several actresses, Jaime Elyse has had a strong presence in Hollywood. She has worked on set for both TV and Movies, including The Bachelor, Truth Be Told, Sandy Wexler & the Ellen Show.
Jaime Elyse has been immersed in fashion since she was a young girl. With an innate penchant for design, she pored through fashion magazines and would frequent the local thrift shop to purchase garments that she could deconstruct and study how they were made. Self-taught, after high school she worked under the tutelage of Jessica McClintock bridal, and soon embarked on her own couture bridal designs.
Elyse believes that textiles are one of the most important elements of design. When consulting with clients for couture dresses, she meets one-on-one to determine the best silhouette and pairs it with the material best suited to bring the design to life.
She finds inspiration in architecture, with London, Paris and New York as her muses. “The architecture and beauty in the buildings is very similar to how garments are created. I enjoy looking at how all of the elements come together. It is similar to textiles. The luxe texture and weight of Duchess silk falls beautifully on the silhouette and is stunning in both person and images. While the depth of design for French lace allows for easy, seamless sculpting.”
An architect of couture, Elyse crafts garments into pieces of wearable art. Enjoy!
