Prepare to be green with envy over gorgeous Pantone's color of the year for 2017 called Greenery

it's that time of year again when Pantone announces their color of the year and weddings,  styled shoots and blogs around the world explode with an exciting new color palette. We've long been in love with greens for weddings and can't wait to play with all shades of green in 2017!

Rose gold engagement rings bring a little blush to the forth finger of left hands everywhere

Inspired by the charm of the past, these rose gold romantic engagement rings by Brilliant Earth are heirlooms in the making.

image.jpg

Brilliant Earth uses recycled metals for a more sustainable line of jewelry. Dirty gold mining has a history of civil war, labor abuses, and environmental devastation. Metal mining, and gold mining in particular, is one of the most environmentally destructive types of mining and millions of gold miners earn low wages in dangerous working conditions.

Every piece they cast is made with recycled and re-refined precious metals. Because their reclaimed silver, gold, platinum, and palladium are refined back into their pure elements, they are of identical quality to newly mined metals.

Brilliant Earth's recycled precious metals have been independently certified by SCS Global Services to guarantee their recycled content. We are one of the first jewelers to elect to have SCS audit our supply chain to ensure the metals we use meet the standards for recycled content.

Whether through delicate, Victorian-inspired filigree designs, the bold individuality of Art Deco styles, or the larger-than-life dazzle popular in the Retro era, each unique style in a vintage-inspired collection is a beautiful choice.

Bridal fashion trend: filagreed bridal jewelry

Filigree, a delicate kind of metalwork, suggests lace and is reminiscent of Indian and Asian metalwork. Popular from the 17th to the 19th century in Italian and French metalwork from 1660 to the late 19th century, Filagree is making a fabulous comeback with brides.

This beautiful Filigree encrusted bracelet by Justine M Couture, The Amalie - available in gold, rose gold [all the rage this year!!] and silver, celebrates this ancient form of art.

Trend alert: the bridal choker necklace

The 'choker' necklace has a long and illustrious history. The choker [or very fitted necklace the sits snugly around ones neck like a turtle neck] is by far this season's boldest statement piece of jewelry! Pairing well with low or plunging necklines the choker first made a fashion appearance around the time of English Queen [and notorious bold woman!] Anne Boleyn (remember the pearl "B" necklace worn by Natalie Portman playing Anne Boleyn in "The Other Boleyn Sister"). The choker was immensely popular in the late 19th century partly due to England's Alexandra, Princess of Wales [precursor to Diana!] who wore thick rows of pearls and velvet, setting quite the trend. Fitting right in for today's bold Queen (or future Queen) is this gorgeous and bold choker by Justine M Couture bridal jewelry and accessories.

Style Alert: The Juliet Capped Veil, thank you Downtown Abbey!

Shakespeare's famous tale of love "Romeo and Juliet" offers visions of true love, romantic drama, and hearts filled with longing. One of this year's hottest trends the Juliet Cap Veil offers all that and more. With it's snug to the head style, often delicately embroidered like the Willow Veil by Designer Justine M Couture seen here, plus a gathered side or back and long veil trailing down, this look is very classic, feminine and very Downton Abbey! Top veil and accessory designer Justine M of Justine M Couture [whose beautiful veils and jewelry are top sellers at Kleinfled New York] says "The Juliet Cap Veil is really having a revival with on trend brides. Queen Elizabeth II's mother Elizabeth wore a capped veil in her 1922 wedding to Albert who sooon became King of England.* This feminine, snugly capped veil style matches perfectly with 1920's styled silk biased gowns, big floral arrangements, romantic weddings and all romantic styles from the past!"

*Editor's note: movie fans may note that Elizabeth and Albert were the royal main characters in the movie "The King's Speech" played by Helena Bonham Carter and Colin Firth...

Love is timeless... and so is this hot style of jewelry by becomb

When you’re dedicated to what you love, time becomes irrelevant...introducing becomb.

Founder and Designer Levi Maestro says "Growing up, the only “jewelry" I ever felt comfortable wearing was a watch. It was the one item that I put on to feel dressed up as opposed to utilizing it for function because I always got impatient with how long it took me to register what the actual time was. When it occurred to me one day to create my own version of a watch, I knew I would prefer the piece aesthetically if it had no parts or markings. I took into consideration how much money our world spends on jewelry that for the majority has no significant meaning. I combined my love for minimalism with my love for symbolism and the Infinity Piece was created to serve as a reminder that when you’re dedicated to what you love, time becomes irrelevant."

don't worry ladies becomb has you covered too!

We love it and think this hot style of 'not a watch' jewelry will soon be the talk of the town!

Welcome Rose Gold: the vintage metal color that adds a blush of color to your jewelry!

Rose Gold is a gorgeous, rosy metal color created when copper is added to yellow gold. This vintage shade originated in 19th century Russia and made a few notable comebacks during Victorian times and the roaring 20's and now in 2016! Thanks to designers like Justine M Couture, one of the USA's most popular accessory and veil designers and Kleinfeld New York's - home to the popular TV show "Say Yes to the Dress" - biggest selling accessory line] this color will wow on runways and wedding aisles all over the world.

Justine M Couture has included this exciting shade to key pieces in her collection for 2016 [ahem one of Pantone's colors of the year is Rose Quartz after all!] and this color will probably take off with brides who want to showcase a rosy tone in their cheeks, pull in a little timeless style and, of course, stand out a little from the crowd.

Want to find the Justine M Couture collection in San Diego? Well lucky for us The White Flower Boutique is a Flagship Justine M Couture location!

The White Flower Boutique is also having a trunk show Wednesday January 27, 2016 where you can meet Lead Designer Justine M of Justine M Couture in person and try on [and purchase] her beautiful pieces.

Appointments are essential at this busy salon even for trunk shows!
